On May 26, 2025, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) confirmed the decision to sanction Al-Orobah Club by awarding a forfeit loss in their match and imposing a financial penalty of 50.000 Saudi Riyals. Additionally, both Al-Orobah Club and the SAFF were held tly responsible for the financial costs associated with the expedited arbitration request submitted to the Centre, and the expenses are to be split equally between the two parties. The case was initiated following a protest by Al-Nassr FC, who protested the eligibility of Al-Orobah goalkeeper Rafi Al-Ruwaili in the match between the two sides on February 28, 2025, during the 23rd round of the Saudi Roshen League 2024/25. The Arbitration Centre upheld Al-Nassr's complaint, recognising the validity of the documents submitted, which demonstrated that Al-Ruwaili was not fully ed as a professional player-constituting a breach of the league regulations.
